An Arab was walking down a village lane in Syria with his wife a few steps in front of him. The imam of the village said to him: “Ahmad, you’re offending Islam. Why do you permit your wife to walk in front of you rather than behind you, as Mohammed commanded?” Ahmad responded: “In Mohammed’s era, there weren’t any minefields.”
