A tailor’s wife approached her neighbor and said that she bought beautiful fabric to make a suit and extra pants for her husband for ראש השנה. However, it was a surprise, so she asked the neighbor to take the fabric to her husband to do the work without him knowing that it was for him. The neighbor was glad to accommodate her. However, when the tailor received the fabric, he realized that by cutting corners he could have enough fabric to make a pair of pants for himself. When the wife surprised her husband with the new clothes, he put on the new suit and wore it to Shul on ראש השנה. The pants were really tight. When he called out מן המיצר קראתי יה, he experienced actual מיצר and the stitches began to come apart. When he said ענני במרחב יה, his pants split open and he realized that עבירה שאדם עובר בצנעה הקדוש ברוך הוא נפרע ממנו בפרהסיה.
