ערובין-לח

A חסיד traveling to the קארלינער רבי, stopped on the way at the home of ר׳ פנחס מיכאל, a מתנגד.   “Is there no חסידיש רבי on the way to קרלין?” his host asked.  “I’m a יודע מחשבות and know that there isn’t,” the חסיד replied.  “If you’re a יודע מחשבות,” the מתנגד רב said, “tell me what I’m thinking right now.”  The חסיד answered: “You’re thinking about the רבונו של עולם.”  “No,” ר׳ פנחס replied, “I wasn’t thinking about Him.”  Immediately, the חסיד said “That’s exactly why we’re traveling to קרלין!”
