In one of the European wars, a Jewish soldier would head to the front lines and singlehandedly return with nine enemy troops.  After he did this several times, his commander asked how he did it. “Simple,” he explained.  “I go near their foxholes and call out that I need a מנין to say קדיש for יאהרצייט.  They promptly gather and come with me.”
