ערובין-ע

 A Catholic Priest converted a Jew who wanted the large sum of money offered for anyone who converts.  The following day, a Friday, when Catholics were not permitted to eat meat, the Priest saw the מומר eating roasted goose.  Furious, the Priest said: “You just converted and already you’re sinning.”  The מומר responded: “No, I’m not a sinning.  This is fish.”  The Priest replied: “Not only are you a sinner, you’re also a liar.”   “Heaven forbid” the מומר said.  “I’m neither a sinner nor a liar.  I simply did what you did.  Just as you sprinkled some water on me and said you are now a גוי, I sprinkled some water on the goose and said you are now a fish.”
