When רבי אייזל חריף published a small ספר called מרבה תבונה, he went door-to-door to sell copies of the book.  When a wealthy man complained about the price, saying that it’s but a small ספר, the רבי said “It seems you hold like the שיטה of the דבר אחר.”  “What does that mean?” the man asked.  רבי אייזל חריף explained:  “In מסכת ברכות, the חכמים explained that בכל מאודך means בכל ממונך and the גמרא then goes on to say דבר אחר: בכל מדה ומדה שהוא מודד לך, whatever measure he metes out to you. This means that someone who measures a ספר by its height, width or length holds from the שיטה of דבר אחר and rejects the שיטה of the תנא קמא, namely בכל ממונך.”
