The מנחה לוי noted that the daughter of המן acted in accord with הלכה when she spilled the עביט של רעי on him.  He explained that the גמרא tells us המן מן התורה מנין; שנאמר המן העץ (Chullin 139b) and חז״ל teach that the עץ הדעת was wheat (Berachos 40a).  Now, we know from רש״י that the מעשה המן took place during פסח and the דין is that המוצא חמץ בפסח כופה עליו את הכלי.
