A prominent member of a קהילה would shop at the fancy stores of the גויים, passing by the more modest Jewish owned stores.  One day, רב דמתא saw him carrying his shopping bags and greeted him, saying “שלום לך רב פסח.”  “But my name is אברהם, not פסח,” the man replied.  Smiling, the רב said: “The name פסח suits you better, since you are פוסח על בתי בני ישראל.”
