An author presented a copy of his ספר to a wealthy man on ערב פסח. The man looked through the ספר and said “Thank you for giving it to me.” The author responded: “I appreciate your thanks, but want to ask if you know why we don’t say מזמור לתודה on ערב פסח.” When the man replied that he didn’t know, the author said: “It’s because on ערב פסח, when there are many קרבנות, one is not יוצא ידי חובה בתודה.”
