R’ מאיר מפרימשלאן was asked: We place מרור on the סדר table זכר לשיעבוד, why don’t we place some money on the table as a זכר for the booty of מצרים? The רבי answered: “The מרור remains a bitter memory for us to this day, but מהכסף לא נשאר לנו כל זכר.”
