A ליצן once took sick and all the people in town came to be ביקור חולים. The next day, he rose from his sickbed and walked the streets of town. Surprised, one of his neighbors asked how he was cured so quickly. “I’m not actually cured,” the ליצן said. “But after so many people came to visit me and, as חז״ל said in Bava Metzia 30b, each took away a sixtieth of my illness, I said to myself that I need to get out of bed because otherwise people might think that חז״ל were mistaken. And I certainly don’t want to be responsible for that.”
