A man came to ר׳ שמואל סאלאנט with a question. He has children in America who work on שבת. They want to support him; may he accept money from them? The רב answered: “Your children may be עובר on all the מצוות but still want to be מקיים the מצוה of כיבוד אב. Why deny them that מצוה?”
