A man asked his רב what the דין is if someone forgot to say יעלה ויבא on ראש חודש. The רב answered: “The דין is that he is required to repeat the תפילה. But I don’t know to which of us the דין applies. I don’t forget to say יעלה ויבא even the first time. And you’re likely to forget and not say it even the second time.”
