An old man was sick. His sons went to the רב and asked him to visit their father and in the course of speaking to him to drop hints about having a will. The רב did as they asked, comforting the חולה and concluding: “It’s like we say every day, מה אנחנו, מה חיינו.” The old man understood what was going on and responded: “My sons complete that sentiment and say אשרינו, מה טוב חלקנו ומה יפה ירושתנו.”
