On the morning of הושענה רבה, a young man approached the סאטמאר רבי and asked that he pray for him. When asked why he needs the תפילות of the רבי, the young man said: “As you can see, I’m really short and it’s hard for me to find a שידוך.” The רבי then asked him at which point in the תפילה would he like the רבי to pray for him. He answered: “When the רבי gets to הושענא למען גדלך.” Smiling, the רבי blessed him from the bottom of his heart.
