Molly’s husband was standing in a corridor in the hospital as his wife was wheeled into the operating room. After a few minutes she came rushing out of the room, frantic and with tears streaming down her face. “What happened?” her husband asked her. “Why did you run out of the room? Why are you crying?” Molly responded: “I heard the nurse say ‘Don’t worry. It’s a very simple operation. You’ll be fine.’” Her husband looked at her in wonder. “So, why all the excitement? Its normal for her to provide words of assurance to comfort you,” he said. Molly responded: “She wasn’t talking to me. She was talking to the surgeon!”
