תענית כז

As a group of חסידים were walking home from Shul to eat their שבת meal, an אפיקורס mockingly said “Enjoy your שבת meal. Fill up that נשמה יתירה.” One of the חסידים responded, “Come join us to fill up your נשמה יתירה as well.” Looking at him, the אפיקורס said: “My נשמה יתירה? I have only one נשמה!” “Yes,” the חסיד answered, “but it’s יתירה.”
