There’s a מחלוקת between רב and שמואל in today’s דף as to whether הודו and כוש were far from or adjacent to one another. ר׳ אייזל סלאנימער came to shul one morning and saw a man open a סידור, flip through its pages, give it a kiss and put it down. “Now, the מחלוקת has been resolved for me,” ר׳ אייזל said to the man. “הודו and כוש were right next to each other. It took you less than a minute to get from הודו to כוש (kiss in Yiddish).
