The וילנא גאון and ר׳ חיים מולוז׳ין were approached on שושן פורים by a man who, not recognizing them, asked for a נדבה.  “Tell us a piece of תורה מעניני דיומה and we will give you,” said ר׳ חיים. The man responded: “From where in the מדרש do we know that גזירת המן נחתמה בטיט ולא בדם?” The two גדולים thought about it, but didn’t have an answer. The man told them: “Why, the מגילה explicitly states:כתב לא בדם.”
