In פרשת ראה, the תורה states לא תעשה כן לה׳ אלקיך.  This can be translated as “Don’t do so to ה׳ your G-d.”  However, the word כן also means “yes,” which would mean that the פסוק translates as “Don’t say yes to ה׳.”  This may seem odd, except when considered in light of today’s דף, which tells us that הקדוש ברוך הוא is גוזר and a צדיק can annul the גזירה.  This teaches that when the רבונו של עולם decrees a גזירה against עם ישראל, it should not be met with a “yes” from the צדיקי הדור.  Rather, they should pray to be מבטל הגזירה.
