A רב who went to pray in the בית כנסת of a town he was visiting was surprised to see that all of the congregants were saying קדיש. He went over to the שמש and asked what happened, was there a מגיפה in town? “No,” the שמש answered. “Unfortunately, in this town people only come to the בית כנסת when they have to say קדיש.” The רב sighed and said: כל העדה כולם קדושים.
