A בן תורה came to see ר׳ זלמ׳לה מוולוז׳ין and explained that his daughter was getting married and he didn’t know how he could cope with all the expenses.  ר׳ זלמ׳לה told him:  “נ״ך contains two descriptions of weddings, one by לבן and one by בועז.  In reference to לבן, who did not obtain his money honestly, the תורה states that he invited כל אנשי המקום ויעש משתה.   By contrast, in reference to בועז, who was a צדיק, the מגילה tells us ויקח עשרה אנשים מזקני העיר for the שבע ברכות.”
