Mendel greeted a guest in Shul, who said he was visiting from Chicago. “Oh, do you know Moshe Kornreich?” Mendel asked. “No,” the guest responded. “You must know him,” Mendel insisted. “He has a scar on his left cheek and burn marks on his right.” The visitor again said “No, I don’t think I know him.” Ever insistent, Mendel said “He has a patch on one eye and is slightly hunchbacked.” “Oh, now I know whom you are talking about,” the Chicagoan replied. “He’s a prince of a man. A שיינאר יוד. Or as many say, one good looking Jew.”
