A ליצן said that everything that הקדוש ברוך הוא created operates as it should, except for wine. He explained that wine is sent down to the belly but instead goes up to the head. “So, why do you drink it?” he was asked. “What choice do I have?” he replied. “דויד המלך decreed in תהלים that הרחב פיך ואמלאהו.” The questioner asked: “Perhaps he meant ואמלאהו with water?” The ליצן responded that it could only refer to wine. The תורה states in במדבר, פרק יח פסוק כז, that:ונחשב לכם תרומתכם כדגן מן הגרן וכמלאה מן היקב. Just as there וכמלאה is required to be מן היקב, so too here, ואמלאהו is required to be מן היקב.
