The father of two daughters was having a difficult time in finding the the right שידוך. One evening he came to shul completely drunk. When the רב heard this, he commented: “Why do we say שיכור כלוט? Didn’t נח get drunk before him? The answer is that if a person who is trying to do a שידוך gets drunk, he’s really a שיכור.”
