A man who drank two large glasses of whiskey after שחרית each morning was asked by a friend why he did it. “By drinking,” he explained, “I prevent שקר from coming out of my mouth. So I say that I already had two glasses of liquor and they understand on their own that I was already מתפלל.” “But,” his friend asked, “why don’t you drink just one glass?” The man replied: “נאמר: על פי שנים עדים יקום דבר.” “If so,” his friend said, “two small shot glasses would be sufficient.” The man smiled and said: “הרי קיימא לן: קטן פסול לעדות.”
