Meir and his wife were sound asleep one night, when they were awakened by the ringing of the telephone. The wife picked up the phone, listened for a moment, and then said to the caller “How should I know? It’s 30 miles away.” After she hung up, Meir asked her “Who called?” “Some nutty woman,” his wife replied. “She wanted to know if the coast was clear.”
