When the son of ר׳ אליעזר גורדון was approaching his בר מצוה, his father taught him a דרשה, which the boy said at the סעודה on שבת. When the guests left, ר׳ אליעזר jokingly said to his son: “In truth it was אסור for you to give the דרשה on שבת because, being my work, it was an אב מלאכה. But since you messed it up, it was מותר because כל המקלקלין בשבת פטורין.”
