After listening to the mocking words of an אפיקורס, a רב asked him for his name. קלמן, he answered. “Your name fits you,” the רב said. “The ראשי תיבות of קלמן are כיזבנו, לצנו, מרדנו, ניאצנו.” “But Rabbi,” the man protested, “don’t you know that קלמן is written with a קו’ף and כיזבנו is written with a כ׳ף?” The רב responded: “Yes, but רש״י writes in חיי שרה that בת קו’ף כבת כ׳ף.”
