A רב was approached by a man who said that, in the words of theגמרא ,הריעותי את מעשי וקיפחתי את פרנסתי. I have been corrupted by deeds and lost my sustenance. The רב responded: “I’m sorry to hear that, but the Mishnah’s focus was on הריעות מעשי, while your focus is on קיפחתי את פרנסתי.”
