Two men wrote a פירוש on מסכת בבא קמא and brought the manuscript to רבי מרדכי מלצר, the author of תכלת מרדכי, for his הסכמה. After reviewing it, the רבי asked what they were planning to call the ספר. “We don’t have a name yet,” one of them replied, “but we would like something short and to the point.” רבי מרדכי immediately responded: “If that’s what you want, I suggest השור והבור [boor].”
