A wealthy Jew made Aliyah and established a business. After a few years, however, he lost his fortune and decided to return to חוץ לארץ. A רב remarked: “It seems that you are אדם שממונו חביב עליו מגופו.” When the man asked why, the רב explained: “It’s customary for Jews to come to ארץ ישראל to be buried here. But you, having buried your money here, aren’t concerned about your גוף and are going to have it buried in חוץ לארץ.”
