A רבי observed that he has two kinds of תלמידים who excel in their learning. There are those who are naturally bright, born with a סגולה בידי שמים. And there are those who excel because of their ability to sit and learn until they fully master a סוגיה. It’s either ברכת שמים מעל or תהום רובצת תחת.
