A לץ was asked why is everything מותר for עשירים and אסור for עניים? He answered: “It’s because of משה רבינו.” When asked why, he explained: “משה רבינו broke the first לוחות הברית, which were made of diamonds. All the Jews ran to gather the broken pieces. The wealthy grabbed the large pieces on which were etched תגנוב, תגזול, תרצח, תנאף and the like; but the poor who came after them were only able to gather the small pieces which said: לא, לא, לא.”
