Menachem Begin delivered an address to a group of Palestinians and said: “Soon, we intend to give you full autonomy, so you can control and be responsible for your own affairs.”  His remarks were met with utter silence.  Surprised, Begin said: “Don’t you want autonomy?”  “Mr. Prime Minister,” the head of the group said, “אתה מאמין בעולם הבא, לא כן?”  Begin said: “בוודאי.”  The Palestinian replied: “‏אבל לא היית רוצה להגיע שם מייד, לא כן?”
