The מגיד of דובנה asked a wealthy miser to contribute to a fund that was being raised for פדיון שבויים.  The miser refused.  “You will have a place in עולם הבא,” the מגיד told him.  Surprised, the miser asked for an explanation.  The מגיד responded: “Many years ago, a wealthy miser like you instructed that when he dies, all his wealth should be buried with him.  And so it was done.  When he arrived at the בית דין שלמעלה and was asked whether he was מקיים the מצוה of צדקה, he responded that he had always been concerned that those requesting צדקה were not genuine עניים and he would simply be wasting his money.  Thus, he brought all his money with him, so that he could distribute it in the עולם של אמת. The heavenly בית דין, after due consideration, ruled that if there were two more people like him הדין עמו.  They searched but found only one: קורח, who was also buried with all his money.  And that’s how things remained until today.  Now, I see that you will be the third in that group.”
