A simple Jew, who never studied and learned, considered himself to be a great למדן and would sit in the בית מדרש to “learn” a דף גמרא. One day, after purportedly learning the דף, he got up and began reciting יתגדל ויתקדש שמיה רבא. The people in the בית מדרש were surprised and didn’t know why he was saying קדיש. “Why are you surprised?” the רב asked. “He just killed a דף גמרא and now he’s saying קדיש after it.”
