It’s stated in מסכת מגילה טז concerning ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר, that ויקר אלו תפילין. A רב once remarked in jest that there is a רמז in the מגילה that a חתן should not wear רבינו תם תפילין until after he marries because the מגילה states וכל הנשים יתנו יקר לבעליהם, which means that it’s when they marry, husbands receive יקר, namely תפילין from their wives.
