Shimon Lieberman from Poland was visiting his cousin in London. One day, his cousin took him on a sightseeing tour around the city, visiting historic monuments and marveling at the beautiful homes of the very rich. Shimon, who came from a little village, had never even imagined that such beautiful homes exist. As they passed each one, he exclaimed: “I should live in a home like this!” But when they passed Buckingham Palace, Shimon did not utter a word. He just stared at the magnificent home. “Why are you so silent?” his cousin asked. “Wouldn’t you like to live here?” “G-d forbid,” answered Shimon, “the cost of מזוזות alone would ruin me.”
